head-on collision scene from deathproof
When he looked at that silver handle Remington it was the same look a teenage boy would give a supermodel at the beach in a bikini, you know he wanted to put his hands on it immediately despite him knowing better then to actually do it.
I once had a goldfish.
all three actors on point.
$5 back then would be = to about $135 today. What kind of gun can you get today for $135?
He never paid for the belt 😂😂😂😂
That’s a Remington 1875, not a New Model
"the subtle off-white colouring...OMG, it even has a watermark!"
Man where does time go!
Good scene in bad movie
😊
The scene right before this where Herod says that the Kid has farmers hands was great. Herod says that Cort is “the genuine article” and a true killer. It shows the gravity of the Kid’s need for validation from Herod. Great acting all around, especially Gene Hackman.
Hackman, Crowe, and DiCaprio in a great scene. Who thought it would be in this movie?
These are outrageously overpriced for the time.
The duel between Romper Stomper and Lex Luthor.
王傑後來做了歌手,無做跌打好耐了。
I cant belive Russel learned to sling the colt like that.
0:48 this is perhaps my personal favorite revolver, the Smith and Wesson Schofield chambered in .45 Colt. Jesse James did call it the “best” revolver ever invented. 🔫🇺🇸
Good Lord, these movies are full of BS... The worst part is people watch it and think it's real
That gun that was five bucks made me think "When you've been downed three times in Hunt: Showdown"
I always found it funny how the kid runs the this store in some small western town in the middle of nowhere, just so happens to have several rare and very expensive guns for..... No one to buy.
Why not? A lot of rarest things, be it a gun/guitar/car/literally anything, can be found in completely unexpected places of the globe.
@@diamondartist1991 the point was. who the hell is going to buy it, Herod?
@@scalp340 rare, reliable and precise pieces of gun history like this cost a lot of money, being the Kid's backup investment should things go south for him in town. Besides, please don't forget that he's a young prodigy gunman who would absolutely love collecting beautiful and exclusive guns. Also, there is a possibility that Kid got some of these guns rather cheap or even for free: who knows, maybe he even killed that late owner of silverhanded Remington, right? He sure knew something about him, at least the amount of robbed banks.
If you notice later in the film he apparently uses the first gun with the ivory Mexican emblemed handle himself in the shooting contest, so they're presumably part of his personal collection. He's just showing them off to get a gist of what kind of money his customer would have before breaking out the actual stuff they could afford. Of course as it turned out Cort had no money anymore.
@@scalp340 Being excellent gunman himself, Kid surely enjoys collecting exquisite and rare guns even knowing well that nobody except Herod can afford it. Besides, I think it's implied that Kid could have killed and taken silverhanded Remington from its dead owner.
I would like to buy the one the box and keep the box for storage please and think you
Leonardo DiCaprio only dates girls who are as young as he was back in 1995
What an awesome movie. Great cast.
😃
Looks like an addict waiting to get his fix.
Having the trigger guard removed was silly, but it does add for great dialogue about the piece.
I really miss these older movies. Not too much dialogue, just good actors acting in a believable way. Same as a bridge too far.
It bothers me that the solid ivory handle sound hollow.
1:20 what a scam
Damn. Gene was one of the greatest.
Heyyyyy he pocketed a bullet from the Schofield case!
lol $125 for a handgun in the 1870’s-80’s… that’s not realistic
0:46 I actually like this gun very much I find it fascinating, and I believe that’s used too much for the bad guys in movies.
I swear that dude could sell a pen if he wanted to
Such a good movie
好鬼好笑😂
Jor El & Lex Luthor in the same room
Wow, Court might win! John P.
Gene Hackman was next level in that role.
😮😮😮
That kid was so smart he went on to become a teacher, airline pilot, a doctor and made a ton of money in the stock exchange.
Not quite as good as Sam Rockwell in Iron Man 2. That one's probably the best gun sale scene in a movie. I'd say that kid in The Salton Sea really does a great one too. But this is a solid scene. I'm trying to think of some other good ones. The gun shop scene on the first Terminator. When they get in the gun bunker in Terminator 2. And when Arnold busts onto the surplus armory in Commando. Do those count? What am i missing? i know there's more out there. Somebody help me out...
38 not 45 and the sound of rust from that gun. he is stripped of almost all mechanical power
120 buk !? Shimang, a new Colt, cost 20 buk back then. Unless it were slicked up by a gunsmith. But even so, it wouldn't be like today's slicked up Colt. 120 buk. Way too much.
Leo is so young here he would date himself…
*disgust* "Revolvers...!"
$5 for the cheapest gun in his store is more historically accurate than $120 for the Colt that preacher played with. All in all, I really loved the props. If they were real guns I probably wouldn't want my cylinder spinning like that tho. Fun movie.
These three characters are the only good parts of the movie. Everything involving the main character is so godawful I couldn't even make it all the way to the end.
Lol maximus
For a movie that was so full of cliche and was so predictable....it was at the same time fairly proffound...on the topic of "funfighting". That it's not the gun that wins the gight but pure skill. Something a lof of "gun tenthusiasts" today have lost sight of. Civilians to law enforcement. Mostly those that have never actually been in a gunfight /"defensive situation".... There are "gun nerds" who "concel carry guns" that cost $60000.00 who will surely cringe the day they put a scratch on the shiny urface of their "blued" high-end" gun. :..costing them valuable few seonds during a "fgunfight/defensive situation".... ....not ony that but i the film CRowe's character was onky given 1 bullet per showdown. :) Forget how he does "shoot himself otu of town" at the end of the film with just one bullet. :) Did he grab the gun of a fallen gunfighter?? heh.... Forget how Clint Eastwoods characters got their guns. They "just had them" I guess in the film...never had to go into a gun shop....none of them had their "guns made for them...custom"...int he weterns...
Gun shops, armory, and preparing for a gun fight have always been personal enjoyments in cheesy fun movies. Growing up watching Escape from New York Kurt Russell arming up to John Wick 2 boutique gun shop. All cheesy fun. In regards to firearms...the same as luxury watches and cars today. Some pistols are just "tools" to be used on a day-to-day basis. Others are just "safe queens" much like high end sports cars and watches safe in a garage or safety deposit box. Always need a day to day, watch firearm or automobile.
